After travelling to South Africa and Swaziland last year, I have been painting images shot in the Cape Town projects. The people's love of life, community and positive attitudes spoke to me, in the face of their enduring struggle. Thank you to all for your gift of joy!
Currently, I am working on an image of two elementary school girls in Kenya. Their school is one of several schools receiving assistance from the Connecting Countries Adopt-A-School (CCAAS) which is a non-profit organisation with sanitation, water collection, hand washing stations and student cultural exchange with Canadian students through penpal letter writing. This project is dear to my heart.
